The Warn winch was previously only available on the Tremor option of the Super Duty pickup. It will now be offered as an option on the 7.3-liter V8 or 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel engine versions. The Warn winch, offered by Ford Performance Parts, has a capacity of 12,000 pounds.
Many people who buy a Super Duty pickup need it for work, obviously not as an everyday means of transportation. Often, that work may involve the need to use a winch.
Winch by Warn
"We've had Super Duty customers who have seen the Tremor winch call us and say they want the same choice," said Ron Meredith, director of Ford Vehicle Customization Planning. "So we've expanded its availability to all new Super Duty pickups and made sure it meets the needs of all our hard-working Super Duty customers."
Available as a factory-ordered option or as a dealer-installed accessory, the winch can be added to 2020 or newer 4x4-equipped F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups with either a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine or a 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke diesel engine, with two batteries and two 397-amp alternators.
